My interest in our family history began back in 1995 when Charlie and I visited his Aunt Mary Rockforte who lived in Plaquemine, Louisiana. Her kitchen had bookcases in it which were overflowing with binders full of family group sheets and information relating to the many surnames on their side of the family. As I browsed through the Bourgoyne-Rockforte information, I found myself lost in all the history of the families. I copied a few of the family group sheets and that is where my research began. Here I am, 16 years later- I've filled in quite a few of our family "branches". But I'm not finished yet! I'll keep on SNOOPING out more information to add to our family tree, leaf by leaf and twig by twig.
Charlie doesn't share the compassion for genealogy that I do but he allows me the time and space to do what I love doing. As a couple, we enjoy traveling above all else. We've been on several trips to Tennessee and North Carolina and we had the opportunity one year to take a wonderful vacation in Colorado and Wyoming. Charlie is employed in sales and he has been Sales Manager at both Advance Auto Parts and Battery World in Hattiesburg. I have been employed as a Registered Nurse for 19 years and I've worked at our local hospital for several of those years. We have three children whom we cherish- Cristina Fae, Cheresa Renea and Charles Ryan. We are also proud grandparents of four boys- Damon Tyler, Coby Gerrick, Matthew Wesley and Nathan William.
